Catalogue Entry

Cup cast from white opaque glass. It is thought that after glass granules or small fragments were placed in a two-sided mold and fired, this cup form was then finished with a careful polishing of the entire surface. The mouth rim spreads out to an almost flat shape. The walls of the cup bend and spread outward, while the base has a foot. The outer surfaces of the body's bent walls and the outside of the transition from torso to foot are banded by horizontal grooves. Both inner and outer surfaces have been polished to a smooth finish.
