鋳造された緑青色半透明ガラスの蓋付きの容器。胴部は円筒形で平底、蓋も上部が平らで短い側壁が垂直に立ち、両者で一体化して円柱形となる。身部の先端を斜めに削って蓋受けとしている。蓋外側の中央部に2本、縁部に1本、細い溝が同心円状に彫られている。外面は全体になめらかに磨かれている。ギリシア陶器でピュクシスと呼ばれる蓋付きの化粧箱の形を模したもの。

Vessel with lid cast from a turquoise semi-translucent glass. The torso is cylindrical with a flat base, while the top of the lid is flat and has short vertical walls which coincide with those of the body to form a unified cylindrical shape. The top edges of the body of the vessel have been shaved into an angled shape to receive the lid. The center of the outside of the lid has two thin concentric grooves carved into it, while the edge has one thin groove. The outside is polished to a completely smooth finish. This vessel copies the shape of a lidded Greek cosmetic box known as a pyxis.
