Catalogue Entry

This spoon was free-blown from blue, semi-translucent glass. It was probably made first in the shape of a pitcher. Then the body is hollowed and spoon-shaped, while the end of the neck is fastened with a jewel-shaped form. The base of the cup is flat so that the spoon is free-standing, and the center is hollow, which makes this very light to hold. The spoon has the rounded, balanced feel of blown glass and is comfortable to hold.
