Catalogue Entry

5th‐early 4th century B.C.
Gilded silver
H. 4.2 cm, W. 4.1 cm
This figure of a zebu has traces of gilding on its head, and small horns protruding from either side of that gilding. The face is incised with round eyes. Judging from the state of the gilding, this figure is thought to have originally been completely covered with gold leaf, as seen on the lion at cat. No. 57.
