This bull turning back to look over his shoulder is missing his hindquarters. The ears are pointed forward, the eyes are fitted with thick upper lids, the jaw is surrounded by a mane, the special hair patterns on ribs and sides, and the musculature of his forelegs. All of these elements are shared with the Achaemenid style relief sculptures and column capitals seen at Persepolis.
