Reception Pavilion

Ticket counter

Hours: 9:30 am to 4:00 pm

Proceed to the Museum Building after purchasing your ticket.

Restaurant

Hours: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm

Visitors are free to eat lunch before going to the Museum Building if desired.

Approach to Museum

The approach to the museum is best enjoyed with a leisurely stroll, but free electric shuttle is also available (During peak visiting hours, operation of the electric shuttles will be suspended).
On foot

(The shuttle seats 10 and leaves every 10 to 15 minutes, no reservations required.)

Museum Building

Enter the museum.

  • Front entrance (first floor)
  • Barrier-free entrance (first basement level)
  • Present your ticket at the entrance reception area.
  • Audio guides can be rented at the first floor entrance reception area (rental charge applies).

View the exhibits.

  • Suggested time for North Wing exhibit space:

    30 to 90 minutes

  • Suggested time for South Wing exhibit space:

    30 to 90 minutes
  • The exhibits can be viewed starting with either the North or South Wing.
  • Visitors are also free to visit the museum shops and video room if desired.

Take a break.

Tea room

Hours: 10:30 am to 4:30 pm Return to the Reception Pavilion if you want to have lunch in the restaurant.

Leave the museum.

  • Front entrance (first floor)
  • Barrier-free entrance (first basement level)
※ If you plan on returning to the exhibits after lunch, inform the staff at the reception area before leaving.
