解説（春の玉手箱）
上司海雲は志賀直哉、杉本健吉、須田剋太らと交流があり、壺法師の異名を持つほどの壺の収集家だった。
本作の古伊万里の皿を月に見立てた歌からは、座辺のわずかな美にさえ己が心を映して過ごす、日々の清々しい暮らしぶりが窺われる。

Kamitsukasa Kai'un (1907‐1975) was the head priest of Todaiji temple. He was a friend of Shiga Naoya, Sugimoto Kenkichi, Suda NAME and others, and was known as the “Jar Priest" for his collecting habits and inordinate love of old ceramic jars.
In this poem likening a ko‐Imari dish to the moon, the reader gets a sense of Kai'un's pure and simply daily life in which the beauty found around him was reflected in his heart.
