Catalogue Entry

This cup was cast from small mosaic glass fragments which were aligned in a mold. While the same shape as cat. No. 78, the base is rounded and a dark green glass foot has been attached to the cup. The vessel body is made up of cuttings from combined rods of dark purplish translucent glass, and yellow, white, red, green and turquoise translucent glass. These colors have been arranged into mosaic units with five different types of concentric circles and with swirl patterns. Both the inner and the outer surfaces have been polished. This work quite closely resembles the cup at cat. No. 120.
