Catalogue Entry

This cup made from greenish translucent glass was blown and then formed in a two-part mold. The mouth area and near the base are circled by two cords and the base is formed into a foot shape. The pattern is a repetition of a stem with eight leaves and buds which have been expressed in carefully detailed relief form. There are thin lines where the halves of the mold were joined and overall the cup has been finished with a high degree of skill. There is a slight chip missing at the rim, but otherwise the cup is almost completely intact.
