緑がかった透明ガラスを吹いて、カットを施し成形した碗である。口元は外反し、縦長のカット46個が口縁部を取り巻いている。胴部中央から下は、大きな円形切子4つが底を取り囲む。底は小さめの円形切子である。各円形切子の間には、細長いカットが左右対称に施されている。ローマのカットガラスとササン朝ペルシアのカット意匠の両方を感じさせる、移行期の作品と考えられる。

Blown from greenish translucent glass, this bowl was then decorated with cut work. The base of the mouth flares outward and the mouth rim is made up of 46 vertically arranged rectangular cuts. From the center of the body downward, four large circular cuts surround the base. The base has a small circular cut. Each circular cut has a pair of narrow long cuts arranged on its right and left sides. This bowl combines the sensibilities of both Roman cut-glass and Sasanian cut-glass and is thus thought to be a work from a transitional period.
