眉毛と眼に象嵌を施された右向きの横顔。顔は紺色、眉毛は橙色、眼は白色に縁と瞳が黒色で表される。眼は裏面に貫通しているが、裏面からも縁と瞳が観察できるので、モザイク技法で作られていることがわかる。型で成形されたもので、細部は浮き彫りで表現され、丁寧に磨いて仕上げられる。裏面はガラスを重ねて平らにしている。別に作られた人体の他の部分と組み合わせて、棺や神殿や家具に嵌め込まれた。

Profile facing left. Cast from red glass, the eyes, eyebrows and other details have been carved in relief. The head band is expressed by a thin layer of white glass laid on top of the forehead. This face would have been combined with other elements as inlay materials.
