Catalogue Entry

The green and translucent glass has stripes in its surface and the center has one red glass thread running through it. Gold flakes are imbedded beneath those lines. A hole was cut through the bead to allow for a cord, and the lower section is flat while the upper section is raised. This suggests that the bead was first shaped around a rod, then further formed in an open mold. This bead would have been used in jewelry.
